Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder Review

The Claim: "Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder controls shine for upto 12 hours. It minmises the appearance  of pores with a natural, matte finish..."

Its job is to conceal imperfections while maintaining a “natural flawless finish”. As someone with acne scars, wearing this product on it’s own does not give me any coverage to feel confident. However, its great on top of a good foundation and helps reduce redness.

This compressed powder is light; you barely feel it on your skin. Although, this is available in 6 different tones, I always pickup the translucent as I find it transfers and matches my pale skin complexion evenly.

It claims to be suitable for all skin types and I would absolutely agree.  Even for dry skin types, it does not cling around dry patches.  Great for oily T-Zones to reduce shine leaving a matte finish as suggested. For best results, I found applying this with a kabuki brush in circular motions worked well and you do not need much to start with.

The packaging is very basic but simple and does the job. However, it would be more user friendly see it in a more compact fashion, for example, with a travel mirror and a clasp closing. Such a high quality product deserves to look more attractive.

A product that I will continue to use and recommend!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask Review

As a teenager, I used this religiously for years! Having acne skin certainly bought it's challenges of finding some suitable for my skin. I used this product before I transitioned to Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish range (extensive review previous done and available on here) which has also been great.

Keeping to my budget this month has meant searching the market for a cheaper alternative for the time being. After much 'researching', I went back to this little old bottle of fresh skin. Why? Because I was impressed with it's results the first time around. But after using constantly for 5/6 years I felt it become immune so to speak.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask as a daily wash to helps prevent blemishes or can be used as a 5 minutes mask to deep cleanse and condition skin. Its in the form of a clay texture that is thick and soft in consistency.

Once applied as a mask, you get a cooling sensation which makes it feel like it is getting to work. Afterwards, I am always impressed with how clear and noticeably smooth my skin appears. It leaves me feeling fresh and looking much healthier. Great for sensitive, and spot prone skin!! Also helps to reduce redness.

As a facial wash, it kind of lets me down. Without applying a good moisturizer it can dry my skin, especially in the Autumn/ Winter months. Also, at times, I have to re-apply this twice to make sure I get all my makeup off.

This product is great on a budget and as a mask. The results are clear on first use and I will continue to product and recommend in future, but only as a face mask rather than a facial wash as well.

Aussie Mega Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Working on a tight budget for the passed acouple of months hasn't been as bad as I thought it would. Though, I keep seeing dealing on Feelunique.com for premium brands and I'm using all my will power not to indulge. I've been spending less time online and more time back in the shops looking for deals so I can stick to my monthly budget.

Kudos to Superdrug for the deals recently! I picked up these Aussie products for around a fiver which I thought was a super bargain.

This stuff is awesome! That's all you need to know. Take my word for it!

I've had these products for almost 3 weeks and I'm extremely impressed with how well they have worked with my hair. It does exactly what it says on the bottle. They aimed to break down product build up and throughly cleanse you hair, scalp - the full monty in one wash. Yes, it's clarifying enough to do so. It turns knotty, tried up hair into smooth and glossy locks. It gets it squeaky clean with drying it out.

Best results for hair after a night out - gets all that grubby feeling hair spray out!!

It smells great too. It has a strong, sweet fruity smell that becomes addictive after awhile. It reminds me of that smell when you first open a packet of Haribo. Ah Ma Zing!

Both the shampoo and conditioner are quite quick so you do not need to be too generous with the quantity (will also make it last longer) :P

There's no doubt that I would recommend this to all my friends and family. I've used this every other day on my hair and it's given it some life again!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Original Lip Balm

I picked this little beauty up at Leeds/ Bradford Airport just before my break away to France. To be honest, I didn't particularly look at what other brands were in front of me at the time, I just picked the cheapest one up.

By far, this has become my favourite lip balm of all time and I prefer to wear this than any other lip product at the moment. Why? Because it's so nourishing that it left my lips really soft and subtle.
Safe to say, with the help of good o' Vitamin E, it definitely moisutrisers to the max helping to prevent dry, chapped lips. The cocoa butter formula soothes and softens lips, and helps to protect and hydrate.

Excellent handy size to carry about in your handbag and with it's added SPF 15 makes it beneficial to wear in sunlight to protect you lips from harmful rays. It smells gorgeous and is actually helping my chocolate craving somewhat!!

For £1.26 on offer at Superdrug you cannot go wrong. I am going to continue using this right through the year as we will be heading to Autumn in the next few months. I must recommend to everyone!

Give it a try! Have you used any other products from the Palmers Range?

Holidays! Samoens, South of France

It's been really quiet around here recently, I know. But I have good reason. I've been out and about traveling around in the South of France for my partners, brothers wedding.

Plus I'm also in the middle of transitions jobs. So it has been a hectic time!

France was lovely. We headed to Samoens were the Bride's family is currently living and we spent a couple of days sun bathing and looking around the town. The views are amazing and we throughly enjoyed our time out there. I really enjoyed taking a ride up the ski lift and the views from the top we spectacular.

The wedding was amazing. It had all the little features of a country style wedding with Emma's homemade bunting and cute little black and white hearts for table names.

Congratulations to Stuart and Emma!

I instagramed a photo of the brides dress from the back. She looked absolutely beautiful and I did not envy her wearing such a heavy, layered dress in 34C heat. But she managed to look flawless all day.

My hair wasn't playing fair and I planned on pinning it all up into a fancy bun. But the humidity had other ideas so instead I ended up curling it very quickly and hoped it would stay put.

Here's a full length photo of my outfit. My dress is from Coast and is currently still in the store for this season. Shoes are from Dorothy Perkins in the sale for £15.

Special thanks to Stuart & Emma, and Emma's family is letting us stay and we apart of their amazing day :)
